Wetzin’kwa Community Forest earns the Robin Hood Award

The Wetzin’kwa Community Forest was so honoured and humbled to be recognized with the Robin Hood Award on October 20, 2022 at the 20th annual BCCFA AGM and Conference in Nakusp! Thank you so much to all of our wonderful, hard working and dedicated volunteers, past and present, who have allotted countless hours into making Wetzin’kwa into the Community Forest that it is today. They truly exemplify the merits of this award and the community leadership spirit of Robin Hood, the BCCFA’s past president.

Thank you to Wetzin’kwa’s previous General Managers, dedicated staff and contractors for setting Wetzin’kwa up for success long into the future.

Thank you to the Honourable Minster of Forests Katrine Conroy for recognizing Wetzin’kwa Community Forest this year, and to the BC Community Forest Association for always providing us with effective communication with the crown.

There are so many other Community Forests deserving of this award and we are honoured to learn from and work alongside you all!
